Is Google Penalizing Competing Services in Its Results?

googleA complaint has filed on Google by competitive search engines that Google is penalizing competing search engines and other services in its search results. The European Commission has launched an investigation into Google. Foundem and ejustice.fr and some other search services complained on Google to European Commission.

Google denied the allegation and said “Since we started, Google we have worked hard to do the right thing by our users and our industry.”  Google said, Foundem “duplicates 79% of its website content from other sites.” and “We have consistently informed webmasters that our algorithms disadvantage duplicate sites,”.

The investigation will also probe how the company deals with advertising partners. The European Commission has decided to open anti trust investigation on Google.
