The First true Android Competitor of iPod Touch, Samsung Galaxy Player

Samsung’s Galaxy Series smart phone’s are big hit. Google Nexus S is build on Galaxy hardware. After the Smart phone’s they continued the success with Samsung Galaxy Tab, a true alternative to Apple’s iPad. Now Samsung decided to take on iPod Touch with Galaxy Player. The device will be just like Apple’s iPod Touch without cellular voice. The new Galaxy Player have a Front facing VGA camera and will be available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB storage capacities. The device will be officially showcased at Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2011) next week.

According to Samsung Hub, the new Galaxy Player runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS. Powered with 1GHz CPU. featuring a 4-inch Super Clear LCD screen with WVGA resolution 800×480, 3.2 megapixel camera on back, Android Market and Samsung Apps access and a 1200mAh removable battery.


Samsung Galaxy Tab is a true alternative to iPad, But the cost of the device should go down, wish the same success to Galaxy Player.
