Samsung launches Omnia W, India’s first official Windows Phone Mango device

samsung-omnia-wSamsung launches India’s first Windows Phone 7.5 ‘Mango’ powered mobile phone, Samsung Omnia W. Omnia W is recently unveiled to t he world. This new Windows Phone is available to buy form beginning of next month. Omnia W has a 1.4 GHz processor, 3.7 Inch WVGA Super AMOLED display,  VGA front and 5MP rear cameras. The Omnia W will cost around INR 19,990. Samsung did a great job by launching this new product in India this soon. Samsung is gaining Indian smart phone market by releasing new Android models frequently. As Nokia is not yet started Windows Phones, Samsung want to grab the minds before some one, especially in India, they know the growth is here.

Their focus on Indian market is good for Samsung as well as Windows Phone. It may be useful to Nokia, as most of the people does not know more about Windows Phone in India, and they still trust Nokia. By the time Nokia releases Windows Phone’s, people get some knowledge with Omnia W. Windows Phone is a very solid and smooth OS and it is not Windows Mobile.
